The Citadel Boss Tac S 12 Gauge side-by-side (brand part no. CITBTACS1218) is a short, handy double-barrel built around two 18.5-inch barrels and a black synthetic stock. A side-by-side gives you two shots with a choice of barrels, and the short barrels make this one quick to swing in a truck, a barn or a tight blind. There is no magazine to load or lose; you drop two 12 gauge shells into the chambers and close the action. The synthetic stock shrugs off weather and rough handling. For a ranch or home-defense shotgun that stays simple and reliable, a double-barrel in 12 gauge is a time-tested layout.
