The Barnes Suppressor Series 8.6 Blackout load (Barnes part no. 32554) is purpose-built for suppressed, subsonic shooting, pairing the proven 300-grain Sierra MatchKing hollow point boat tail with Barnes ammunition standards. Its muzzle velocity is listed at 1025 fps, well below the speed of sound, so a suppressor on the muzzle takes the crack out of the report. Barnes loads it for reliable feeding and cycling in gas-operated firearms across a wide range of barrel lengths and configurations, and it selects clean-burning propellants for consistent velocities with low shot-to-shot variation. The Sierra MatchKing is one of the most established subsonic projectiles in 8.6 Blackout. For a hunter or a shooter building a quiet 8.6 Blackout setup, it is a purpose-made match for a suppressed rifle.
