The Retay ACE-R 12 gauge shotgun in walnut (brand part no. RACEWAL26) is the traditional-looking member of Retay USA‘s ACE-R inertia line, pairing a wood stock with a 26-inch deep-bore-drilled barrel and a 3-inch chamber. The receiver is anodized aluminum under a milled Bohler steel monoblock, and on the 12 gauge it comes drilled and tapped, so a red dot or turkey scope goes on without a trip to the gunsmith. Retay’s Inertia Plus action keeps powder fouling out of the receiver, the trigger group drops out with a push button for cleaning, and the AIRY recoil pad is rated for up to 30 percent less felt recoil. Six extended long-range choke tubes ship in the box along with a shim kit for drop and cast. For a hunter who wants a walnut semi-auto that can move from the duck blind to the dove field to the sporting clays course, the shorter 26-inch barrel keeps it quick in tight cover.
