The Faxon Firearms 5.56 NATO 16-inch Pencil Barrel with 3-Port Muzzle Brake (Faxon part no. 15A58M16NPQ-IMDB) is a lightweight barrel built for AR-15 shooters who want to shed weight off the front of the rifle without giving up accuracy. Faxon Firearms machines it in its slim pencil profile, a thin-diameter contour that trims ounces compared to a government or bull profile barrel. A 1-8 twist rate stabilizes the full range of common 5.56/.223 bullet weights, and a QPQ nitride finish protects the bore and exterior from corrosion and wear. It ships with a 3-port muzzle brake already installed to tame muzzle rise and help keep the sights on target through fast follow-up shots.
