The PROOF Research PXT Carbon Fiber Sendero Barrel Blank in .224 bore, 24 inches long (PROOF part no. 154175), is a bolt-action barrel blank for custom rifle builders and gunsmiths. Proof Research pairs PXT, its Exponential Twist rifling that starts with a very gradual twist and speeds up through the bore, with a carbon fiber wrap. The result is a lightweight barrel that PROOF says can last 30 to 100 percent longer before accuracy fades. It is a blank, so it needs to be fitted and chambered by a gunsmith before use.
