The Rock Island Armory 1911 GI Standard is a full-size, single-stack 1911 chambered in 9mm (brand part no. 57250) from Armscor/Rock Island Armory, built with GI-spec features true to the original 1911 pattern. It pairs a 5-inch barrel with a parkerized finish, plain wood grips, and GI-type front and rear sights mounted the traditional way. Standard GI features carry through the whole gun, including GI slide serrations, a ramped bushing-type barrel, a GI grip safety, and a checkered slide stop and magazine release. It is a faithful, affordable entry point into the 1911 platform for shooters who want the classic single-action feel in a more manageable 9mm chambering.
