The Hi-Point HP-15 Heavy Barrel is a 5.56×45 AR-pattern carbine built around a 16-inch heavy barrel (brand part no. HP15R556HEAVY). Hi-Point pairs that barrel with a 15-inch M-LOK handguard, an M4 stock with a QD socket and an A2 grip, so the rifle accepts common AR accessories. The barrel is threaded 1/2×28 and carries an A2 birdcage, which leaves room to swap in a brake or other muzzle device. The heavy-barrel version ships with a 10-round magazine and a faster 1:7 twist. It is a budget-friendly range, plinking and training rifle from Hi-Point Firearms.
