The Thompson Center Encore ProHunter barrel is chambered in .270 Winchester for the Encore break-action platform, in a 26-inch fluted stainless steel profile (brand part no. 8190R). It uses a 1:10 twist and is threaded 5/8-24 at the muzzle, and it ships without sights so a scope can go straight on. The Encore lets a single frame cover rifle, shotgun and muzzleloader barrels, so a hunter can change calibers by swapping the barrel instead of buying a new gun. A .270 Winchester barrel is the flat-shooting choice for deer and antelope.
