The Proof Research Elevation MTR 2.0 in 7mm Backcountry is a short, lightweight rifle with a 16.5-inch threaded carbon fiber-wrapped barrel (brand part no. 149911). Proof Research builds it on a Zermatt Arms Origin action with a TriggerTech trigger, a detachable box magazine and a carbon fiber stock in Tactical Flat Dark Earth. The 1:8 twist is matched to the cartridge, and the short barrel keeps the rifle quick through brush and over a pack. It is aimed at hunters who want a compact, suppressor-ready rifle for mountain and backcountry work.
