Norma Bondstrike 5.56x45mm NATO ammunition (brand part no. 601704041) loads a 70-grain bonded, polymer-tipped boat-tail bullet built for hunters who want dependable expansion across a wide range of impact velocities. Norma bonds the jacket to the core so the bullet holds together and retains weight through close, fast hits and longer shots where velocity has bled off, rather than over-expanding up close or failing to open at distance. The boat-tail profile carries velocity better downrange for a flatter trajectory on longer shots, and the heavier 70-grain weight favors that extended-range performance. In rifle ammunition for varmint and predator hunters shooting at varying ranges, this is a precision hunting option.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this safe to shoot in a .223 Remington rifle? Norma designates this load 5.56x45mm NATO. It is safe in 5.56 NATO and .223 Wylde chambers, but it is not recommended in rifles chambered specifically in .223 Remington, which are built for lower pressure.

What does bonding do for this bullet? It fuses the jacket to the core, so the bullet resists separating on impact and retains more weight for deeper, more consistent penetration.
