The B&P Heavy Pheasant 20 Gauge 3-inch #5 Nickel-Plated Lead Shot (B&P item no. 203B14H5) is a dedicated upland hunting load from Baschiere & Pellagri, an Italian shotshell maker with a long competition and hunting heritage. The shot itself is nickel-plated lead rather than plain lead, a harder pellet that resists deformation as it travels down the barrel, which translates to tighter, more consistent patterns at range. #5 shot carries enough energy for pheasant-sized birds while the full 1-1/4 ounce payload in a 3-inch magnum hull gives shooters extra pellets on target compared to a standard 2.75-inch load. This is a premium upland load built specifically for pheasant hunting rather than clays or general field use.
