The Henry H1 Garden Gun .22 LR (Henry part no. H001GG-22) is a smoothbore lever action built for pest control with .22 LR shotshells. Henry Repeating Arms gives it an 18.5-inch round blued steel barrel with no rifling, which keeps the shot pattern tight and consistent where a rifled barrel would spread it wide and wear the rifling. Black ash furniture sets it apart from the otherwise similar H1 Classic Rifle, and a blued steel hammer, lever and trigger drive the smooth action. Keep it by the back door or in the tractor for snakes, barn pests and garden raiders.

Key Specifications

• The chambering is .22 LR shotshell, so the gun is intended for shotshell loads rather than bullets.
• The barrel is 18.5 inches of round blued steel, long enough for a usable sight radius and a tight pattern.
• The bore is smooth, with no rifling, which is what lets shotshells pattern tightly and protects the barrel from wear.

• The rear sight is a fully adjustable semi-buckhorn, a step up from a fixed notch for a gun used at close range.
• The front sight is a blade, simple and quick to pick up on a close target.
• The stock is black ash with a straight grip and a 14-inch length of pull, a rugged look that suits a working gun.
• The receiver is grooved for 3/8-inch scope mounts, so an optic can be added if you want one.
