Migra Pheasant Long Range 12 gauge shotshells (part no. M-12P4-6) load a high-brass 1-1/4 ounce payload of stacked #6 and #8 shot specifically for long-tailed roosters that flush out past comfortable range. Migra Ammunition built this as its first pheasant-specific offering, pairing custom wads and powders to hold a tight pattern well past the distances where lighter upland loads start to open up. The high-brass hull and heavier shot charge are built for the shot you take when the bird won’t hold close. For pheasant hunters who see more long crossers than easy flushes, this is the load built for that exact shot.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does this shell use two shot sizes? Stacking two pellet sizes gives the pattern both the density to connect at moderate range and the extra energy from the larger pellets to still hit hard on birds that flush well out.

Is this shell built for close or long shots? It’s built for pheasant that flush wild and don’t hold close; the high-brass hull, heavier 1-1/4 oz payload, and custom wad are all built to keep the pattern effective at extended range.
