The Howa M1500 Superlite Gen 2 in .243 Winchester (brand part no. HHSSL243BLK-16) shortens the barrel to 16.25 inches for a compact, easy-handling rifle finished in black. Howa threads the muzzle 1/2×28 for a suppressor or brake, giving hunters a shorter, easier-to-maneuver rifle in a mild-recoiling cartridge. Among bolt guns in the bolt action rifles category, this short-barrel Superlite favors hunters who want a compact .243 that still handles well in the field.
