The Maxim Defense CPS MD9 pistol in 9mm Luger (brand part no. MXM48172) is Maxim’s standard AR9-style build, engineered for both military and commercial demand with a Black Maxim CQB brace shipping in place of a shoulder stock. Maxim Defense free-floats the 5.5-inch barrel inside a custom handguard that creates a monolithic-like upper receiver platform with M-Slot accessory compatibility. A black anodized metal finish covers the receiver, and a polymer grip pairs with a manual thumb safety for a right-hand control layout. The upper ships optic-ready with no fixed sights. Among AR pistols chambered in 9mm, this MD9 configuration favors shooters who want a purpose-built AR9 with Maxim’s own brace system.
