The KynSHOT AR9 Competition Short-Stroke Recoil Buffer (brand part number RB5020SS) was developed in cooperation with Blitzkrieg Components for PCC shooters who want a shorter, faster bolt cycle than a standard 9mm buffer allows. At 5.3 inches, the buffer shortens bolt travel by 1.3 inches in a standard AR15 carbine buffer tube, or by 0.5 inches in an AR10/A5 carbine tube, an amount you can further tune with spacers. The damping level is tuned specifically for lighter competition-grade 9mm loads to deliver the best performance and longest service life, and it also works in any PCC using an A1- or A2-length rifle fixed stock with a 9.5-inch internal depth. Note that using an AR15 carbine buffer tube may require a modified bolt to properly reset the trigger; an A5 tube is recommended if you’re running an unmodified bolt.
