The Heckler & Koch SP5K-PDW pistol in 9mm with a 5.83-inch barrel (brand part no. 81000481) is the semi-automatic civilian sporting version of the legendary HK MP5K close-quarters weapon. H&K builds the SP5K-PDW around the same roller-delayed blowback operating system used across the MP5 family, prized for its accuracy, reliability, and smooth shooting dynamic since its origins on the H&K G3 rifle. The pistol is manufactured at H&K’s factory in Oberndorf, Germany, on the same lines and by the same workforce that has built MP5s for decades, and features a Navy-style threaded tri-lug adapter, a paddle magazine release, and a fluted chamber. Among roller-delayed-blowback semi-auto handguns, this SP5K-PDW configuration favors collectors and shooters who want an authentic MP5-pattern pistol.
