The Chiappa Rhino 60DS Small Frame in .357 Magnum (brand part no. 340221) fires from the bottom of the cylinder rather than the top, lowering the bore axis and reducing muzzle rise compared to a conventional revolver. Chiappa Firearms builds this Rhino with a black-anodized aluminum frame and a 6-inch black-anodized vent rib barrel with a blued steel cylinder, keeping the revolver lightweight and easy to carry. The concealed hammer is actually a cocking device for the fully enclosed firing mechanism, which fires single or double action with a visible cocked indicator, and a hexagonal cylinder keeps the revolver’s width to a minimum. A fiber optic front sight and walnut grip round out the package. Among distinctive revolvers in the revolvers category, the Rhino 60DS favors shooters who want reduced felt recoil in a lightweight, carry-friendly design.
