The Proof Research Sendero .264 caliber carbon fiber barrel blank (brand part number 105511) is a 22-inch unchambered barrel with a faster 1:7.5 twist rate, built for a gunsmith to fit to a custom bolt-action rifle. It is wrapped from aerospace-grade carbon fiber over a 416R stainless steel liner, cutting barrel weight by as much as 64 percent versus a comparable steel barrel. The quicker twist rate stabilizes the longer, heavier-for-caliber 6.5mm bullets popular in modern long-range loadings, making this blank a strong option for a builder chasing extended-range performance. Chambering and thread work are handled by the buyer’s gunsmith, not performed at the factory.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this barrel arrive chambered? No, it ships as an unchambered blank for a gunsmith to chamber, thread, and fit to the buyer’s specific bolt-action receiver.

Why choose the 1:7.5 twist over a 1:8? The faster 1:7.5 twist better stabilizes longer, heavier-for-caliber 6.5mm bullets, which is useful for extended-range shooting with modern high-BC projectiles.
