The Savage A22 Takedown .22 LR is a semi-automatic backpack rifle with an 18-inch threaded barrel and a flat dark earth synthetic stock (Savage part no. 47262). Savage designed it to break down with a simple twist so it travels easily for camping, hiking, boating or range days. Additional magazine storage sits in the cheek riser and dry storage in the pistol grip, and a cross-bolt safety and low-profile sights come standard. It is a go-anywhere trail and plinking rifle for anyone who wants a compact, packable .22 LR.
