The Browning BAR Mk4 Hunter .308 Win is a gas-operated semi-automatic hunting rifle chambered in .308 Winchester with a 22-inch barrel from Browning (brand part no. 039008218). The Hunter pairs a fluted barrel with an oil-finished Grade II Turkish walnut stock that is shim adjustable for cast on/off and drop at the comb. A gas piston and a rotating bolt that locks into the barrel run the action, and an action bar and inertia block link keeps barrel vibration down. It is a classic-looking autoloader for big-game hunters who want fast follow-up shots.
