The Cimarron 1851 Richards-Mason Conversion in .38 Special (brand part no. CA925C00WBH) reproduces the historic cartridge-breech-loading conversion that Colt employees Charles Richards and William Mason developed to convert percussion revolvers into self-contained metallic-cartridge arms. Cimarron models this reproduction after an original Army-pattern piece from its own antique collection, finishing the 7.5-inch barrel and cylinder in a standard blue. Fixed sights keep the design period-correct, and the cylinder holds 6 rounds. Among revolvers in the revolvers category, this Richards-Mason reproduction favors Cowboy Action competitors and Old West history enthusiasts who want the look and feel of a scarce original conversion revolver.
