The Barrett MRAD SMR .338 Norma Magnum Black (Barrett part no. 18505) is the Single Mission Rifle version of the MRAD, a bolt-action precision rifle with a 26-inch barrel and a muzzle brake with a thread protector. Barrett Firearms sets the SMR from the factory in one caliber instead of using interchangeable barrels, which lets it share about 90 percent of its parts with the standard MRAD while coming out slimmer and lighter. The rifle wears a Black Cerakote finish and uses a non-folding fixed stock with a vertically adjustable cheek piece. It is built for shooters who want a magnum long-range rifle with MRAD controls and accuracy, cited at .75 MOA.
