Berger Elite Hunter Outer Limits bullets in .338 caliber, 300 grain (Berger part no. 33556), came out of a partnership between Berger and Extreme Outer Limits TV, built to break the trend-line of today’s heavy hunting bullets for extreme long-range hunting, typically with custom rifle applications. Elite Hunter bullets share construction, shape, and Berger’s industry-leading hybrid ogive with the company’s Hybrid Target series, but use a thinner J4 Precision Jacket tuned for rapid expansion on game animals. Berger designs the bullet to penetrate 2 to 3 inches before expanding into a massive wound cavity up to 15 inches, with hydrostatic shock causing most animals to drop immediately.
