The Barnes Original .45-70 300gr flat nose soft point bullet (Barnes part no. 30612) is the classic pressure-formed hunting bullet in a .458-inch diameter for the .45-70 Government. Barnes builds it by forming pure copper tubing around a pure lead core, a design the company introduced in 1939 as the first custom bullet available to American handloaders. This 300-grain flat nose soft point version is made for .45-70 Government hunting loads. It is a component bullet for handloaders, sold 50 to a box, and it is not loaded ammunition.
