For handloaders working up .45-caliber handgun cartridges loads, the Sierra Tournament Master .45 Caliber 200gr FPJ-Match Bullet (brand part no. 8825) from Sierra is a 200-grain Full Metal Jacket Match (FPJ-MATCH) component bullet worth a look. It’s part of Sierra’s Tournament Master handgun line, a family of full metal jacket bullets built specifically for competitive pistol shooting.

Key Specifications

• Bullet diameter is .451-inch, sized for .45-caliber handgun cartridges.
• Weighs a nominal 200 grains.
• Bullet style is Full Metal Jacket Match (FPJ-MATCH).
• Sold boxed in quantities of 100 per box.
• Designed specifically for competitive pistol matches such as USPSA, IDPA, and bullseye shooting.
• The full metal jacket construction keeps fouling low and feeding consistent through repeated magazine-fed strings of fire.
• This is a component bullet for handloading, not loaded ammunition, so you’ll still need your own cases, powder, and primers.
• Always cross-check current load data from the bullet manufacturer or a trusted reloading manual before working up a charge, since published data changes over time.
• It’s good practice to spot-check bullet weight and seating depth with calipers on a sample from the box before running a full loading session.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is this bullet best suited for? It’s a target/competition bullet, built for accuracy and consistent feeding in USPSA, IDPA, and bullseye-style handgun matches rather than hunting or defense.
