The Midwest Industries Long Rail Handguard Mount is an approximately 4-inch accessory rail built to bolt onto most standard AR-15 handguards, brand part number MCTAR-03. Machined from hard coat anodized 6061 aluminum, it fits handguards with either large or small mounting holes and installs with the included hardware and no gunsmithing required. It mounts to the top or bottom of the handguard only, and in most cases a standard heat shield can still be used after installation, making it a cheap, lightweight way to add rail space for a light or other accessory. Note that it will not fit Gen2 SS handguards.
