Remington Premier Nitro 27 Target ammunition in 12 gauge (part no. 20222) loads a 1-1/8-ounce charge of #7.5 shot at 1,235 feet per second in a 2.75-inch hull, built specifically for handicap trap shooting. Remington engineers the Nitro 27 powder charge for the pattern consistency competitive trap shooters need when calling targets from the extended handicap distance rather than standard 16-yard trap. The #7.5 shot size balances pattern density against the pellet energy needed to break targets cleanly at that range. For handicap trap competitors who want a purpose-built shell rather than a general clays load, this shotgun shells is Remington’s dedicated answer.
