The PPU Standard Rifle .223 Remington 62gr full metal jacket boat tail ammunition (PPU part no. PP223F2) is a box of 20 rounds of centerfire rifle ammunition from PPU, also known as Prvi Partizan. The load pairs a 62-grain full metal jacket boat tail bullet with the .223 Remington cartridge and sits in PPU’s Standard Rifle line, which the maker describes as designed especially for big game hunting. PPU lists a muzzle velocity of 3042 fps and 1270 ft-lbs of muzzle energy for this load, with a published ballistic coefficient of 0.295. The company has manufactured ammunition at its factory in Uzice, Serbia since 1928 and says it uses only the best quality components in its rifle cartridges. It is a straightforward choice for a .223 Remington rifle when you want a published, load-specific set of numbers behind the ammunition you buy.
