The MEC Deburring Tool (MEC part no. 1129) chamfers the inside and outside of a case mouth in one simple hand tool, smoothing out the burrs left behind after trimming brass to length. A cleanly chamfered case mouth seats bullets straighter and with less resistance, which matters for consistent neck tension and bullet alignment on every load. It is a compact, no-frills addition to a case-prep bench for handloaders who trim brass regularly and want a quick way to clean up the case mouth before the next step.
What does this tool do to a case? It chamfers the inside and outside of the case mouth, removing the sharp burrs left behind after trimming brass to length.
Why does chamfering the case mouth matter? A cleanly chamfered case mouth lets a bullet seat straighter and with less resistance, supporting more consistent neck tension from round to round.
Mayville Engineering Co. (MEC) builds this deburring tool to chamfer both sides of the case mouth in a single, compact hand tool. See more of our reloading equipment selection for other case-prep tools.
Order the MEC Deburring Tool from our Lubbock, Texas gun shop, and we will get your order moving to the reloading bench as soon as it is ready to ship.
