The Magpul ASAP Ambidextrous QD Sling Attachment (brand part no. MAG529-BLK) is a black steel replacement for the standard AR-15/M4 carbine receiver end plate, made in the USA. It gives a tactical advantage by minimizing sling snagging and making it easy to transition the rifle between the strong-side and support-side shoulder. The ASAP accepts any push-button quick-detach sling swivel as well as Magpul’s own QDM, and it works with both mil-spec and commercial-spec carbine receiver extensions, covering the vast majority of AR-15 buffer tube setups. It is not compatible with A1/A2 fixed stocks or other similarly mounted stock systems.
